In a timely post on Jewelry Making Daily I got a chance to read about artists and their sketchbooks and journals.  Well come to find out I am not the only one with issues regarding getting my ideas on paper.  It seems common for jewelry artists to not be able to sketch well.  Whew, that made me feel a lot better about my drawing ability.  I guess the best thing that I got from it goes beyond other not being able to draw either.  The idea that even if you aren't that good at it, do it.  Don't let my sophomoric drawing skills keep me from putting my ideas on paper.  I can't tell you how many ideas have been lost because I didn't get them writte

Well I tried and I am just not good at drawing.  I can get the basics now though so I guess that will just have to do. I have starting working with glass some and am looking forward to cooler weather so I can dable into that more. The etsy shop is back up and running and has some listings in it.  They are selling reasonably well.  I am going to start posting them here too.

I have been struggling with putting my ideas into action.  Several reasons, time being the main one but losing them is another.  I have tried writing them out so when I do have time I can remember what I thought of.  That hasn't worked out very well.  So now I am thinking if I could sketch them perhaps I wouldn't lose them.  So it is time to learn some basic sketching skills.
